Algebra 1:

This is a set of lessons that I did with my Algebra 1 class about factoring. We began with isolating a monomial, also known as a Greatest Common Factor (GCF) and went through factoring 3 part and 4 part polynomials. A great deal of technology was incorporated to ensure these lessons were engaging and applicable as well as to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.

Geometry:

This activity comes from the Texas Instruments website. In this activity, students will explore tessellations of triangles and quadrilaterals. They will use the transformation tools of symmetry, reflections, rotations, and/or translations. All of this takes place using the TI-84 graphing calculator. The graphing calculator will help students visualize what takes place during transformations.

Proofs are always hard for students in Geometry class. These two activities/lessons for the SMART board from SMART exchange are a great way to help students grasp the understanding of the Geometry proof.
